My husband, I and our children are very proud to call Edmonton our home. We have lived here for 10 years and our children are both EPSB students. Without doubt, our schools and teaching staff are at the core of our flourishing community that helps every child achieve their full potential.
I have a strong desire to see children and youth access opportunities for their development and academic success. I volunteered as homework club tutor and served children from diverse backgrounds. I have also been a career mentor to youth. I am driven by my love for young people, a strong desire for their educational success and the willingness to serve.
I earned a PhD degree doing cancer research and I have worked over time within the Universities of Alberta and Calgary. My interest is in clinical research projects that provide answers to problems affecting the life of patients.
Born in Nigeria, I migrated to England for post-secondary studies and eventually to Canada. I have experienced different educational systems and I bring a good understanding of the needs of our diverse student community as relating to education outcomes.
As your school board trustee, I will be an advocate for quality education!
